ABOUT ME

  • I discovered photography when I was in high school. Well, I didn't actually "discover" it. It's been around awhile. But when my dad allowed me to use his 15 year old Yashica 635, pictured below, I got hooked. I never gave his camera back! Actually, I still have it. It is a lot older now (as am I!) but it still works great.

As an adult, I started doing portrait photography which I loved. I specialized in children and families and had a small studio near my house. I had to put my portrait business aside when I started teaching music full-time in schools, but I never stopped taking pictures.

  • WELCOME! I'M HAPPY YOU'RE HERE! Debora Hood

  • Many, many years later, I am retired and doing lots of travel photography. That is what I am showcasing with this site.

These photos are from visits to places I've been, near and far. I hope some of them will bring back your own memories from places you've lived or visited, the occasions that brought you there, and the people you were with.

Maybe some will inspire you to travel and check off some long-held bucket list items. Some of these scenes tell stories of their own. Some scenes are just beautiful and will add to the decor of your home or office space.

Thank you for looking through my photos and posters. I hope you see something you like! I'll be adding more each week!

    Debora
